Overview
Standard meltblown oil-only sorbents skim oil off water. An open-fibre structure draws hydrocarbon fluids into the centre of the pad or roll while repelling water. It is the most economical sorbent family and absorbs faster and more than the others.
High-loft meltblown sorbents are also available ultrasonically bonded between two layers of lint-free spunbond for maximum strength in heavy spills; these absorb all types of liquids.
