Overview
Disposable drape sheets are layered tissues with a liquid-impermeable base layer. They create a barrier between the sterile field and its surroundings, and between sterile equipment and the surgical site, reducing contamination risk.
The range covers surgical drapes, non-fenestrated and fenestrated drapes, incise drapes and sterile-field drapes.
Drape types
- Surgical drapes
- Create a sterile barrier between the operating-room environment and surgical tools, and cover non-essential areas of the patient.
- Non-fenestrated drapes
- Surround a localised treatment site without openings, for procedures that do not need an operating-room setting.
- Fenestrated drapes
- Include a window-like opening so the surgeon can work within a precise field.
- Incise drapes
- A transparent adhesive film placed on the skin before incision. It lets the skin breathe and prevents moisture build-up through long procedures.
- Sterile-field drapes
- For bedside procedures, such as inserting an indwelling urinary catheter or tracheostomy suctioning.
